AWS has updated cross-zone data transfer pricing for Network Load Balancers (NLB). Previously, enabling cross-zone load balancing incurred standard inter-AZ transfer charges ($0.01/GB each direction), which caused many teams to disable it despite the resilience risks.
You can now safely enable cross_zone_load_balancing.enabled = true on internal and internet-facing NLBs without fear of unexpected cross-zone bandwidth penalties during traffic surges.

BuildRoulette started with a simple observation: there are a lot of places to learn cloud, but knowing something and being able to build, troubleshoot, and make decisions with it are two completely different things.
Built by Oyinkansola — less memorization, more doing; less “here's what this service does,” more “here's a problem, figure it out.”
